Montgomery County is the most populous county in Maryland and the most expensive part of our area. Metro access, jobs in Bethesda and Rockville, and the Purple Line being built through Silver Spring all shape where people want to be.
Buying in Montgomery
- Wheaton, Aspen Hill and parts of Silver Spring still have solid brick ramblers and split-levels at prices well under Bethesda.
- Condos and townhomes are a big part of the market here. Read the HOA or condo documents and the reserve study before you commit.
- County transfer and recordation taxes add up quickly at Montgomery County prices. Budget for them early.
Selling in Montgomery
- Buyers here are well informed and comparison-shop hard. Professional photos, a clean pre-listing inspection and honest pricing beat gimmicks.
- If your home is close to a Metro or future Purple Line station, say so. Commute time sells.
