Where Waldorf is

Waldorf is an unincorporated community governed by the Charles County Commissioners; it was called Beantown until 1880. It sits about 23 miles south-southeast of Washington.^[1]

Main roads are US 301, MD 5, MD 228 (Berry Road), MD 925 and St. Charles Parkway.^[1]

St. Charles, planned from 1965 and developed by Interstate General from 1968, has the villages of Smallwood and Westlake, with Fairway under development and Piney Reach and Wooded Glen planned.^[2]
